Our vision

We want people in Southeastern Europe to know and understand Ukraine firsthand – not through retellings from the Kremlin or anyone else.

We aspire to a region where readers can recognize disinformation, question their sources and refuse to let manipulation decide for them. A region where Ukraine is seen not only as a country at war, but as a European nation with a thousand-year history, a rich culture and its own place in our common European home.

We aspire to see SEE Ukraine Info Hub become a meeting place for journalists, researchers, experts, students, diplomats and everyone who wants to understand what is happening rather than just consume headlines. A platform where Ukrainian and Balkan authors write side by side, and where joint projects and new partnerships are born.

We aspire to a future in which Ukraine’s experience – resisting aggression, fighting for the truth, defending its own identity – becomes part of Europe’s shared knowledge. Because the experience Ukraine is paying for so dearly today is not about Ukraine alone: it is about security, freedom and truth for all of Europe.
